What is APDIO

APDIO (Associa??o Portuguesa de Investiga??o Operacional) is a scientific society that gathers a part of the Portuguese society that are interested in Operations Research. It was founded in 1979 and is national member of the International Federation of Operational Research Societies (IFORS).

APDIO has approximately 500 members and organizes regularly several activities among which national conferences, symposia and international conferences, publishing a scientific journal, distributing an information bulletin, and supporting sectorial meetings.

Operations research has increased its representation in Portugal, and its members have been a regular presence in many international meetings in different areas of OR.
