"It always seems that there?s nothing else to do - but there is". So says Master Ant?nio Chainho, who, almost by accident, in just one phrase, sums up his long career and the will that motivates it.
In fact, the world doesn?t seem enough to the man who made Portuguese guitar his passion and his mission. After watching the great singers of his time, Ant?nio Chainho felt the need to affirm what he had in his soul and not confine himself to Fado. At that point, he embarked on a solo career, and today we cannot be too thankful for that choice.
Lisgoa, the new CD and project launched by Master Chainho is more a scale map of the affections that the guitarist has traced on the planet. This time he travelled to India and found differences and complicities that he wanted to bring to his musical world and share it with us. His partners in this adventure could not be better: the themes in Hindi, are sung by the amazing voice of Ruby, and for the Portuguese bridge, Master Chainho has Isabel Noronha, a companion of music and adventures that embodies the Fado soul in this long journey. Tiago Oliveira plays the classical guitar, Paulo Sousa the sitar, Man? Teixeira the tablas and Carlos Barreto Xavier (also musical director) the keyboard. They complete the team of musicians, the travelers who gave birth to Lisgoa.
After Brazil and Africa, the Portuguese guitar travels to India, in a perfect marriage of the sacred and the profane, of the tears and celebration. The point of departure and arrival of this trip is universal, as Ant?nio Chainho has been showing us for long: this journey begins and ends in the soul. And at this point, Lisgoa is one of the most beautiful discoveries.

As a pianist, singer, author and composer of various works, most of his musical inspiration goes back to the 60s. Talented, and with a wide musical experience acquired throughout his career, Gonzaga Coutinho has been warmly received in Portugal as well as abroad.
Playing solo, or supported by a band of first class musicians, he is unquestionably the best option for entertainment. Born in Mozambique, he moved to Portugal in 1976 and has performed in a Portuguese Television Song Contest Festival and in several other television programs.
In 2002 he recorded his first album "INDICO", which included guest appearances by Rao Kyao, Olavo Bilac and Dani Silva.
SAUDADES DO TOM is his most recent work where he collaborated with several musicians and friends such as Rui Veloso, Ivan Lins and Sofia Vit?ria.
